The Admirals called it the "Swordfish".  The crews called it the "Stringbag".  The ugly, completely obsolete, and surprising effective British torpedo plane that served in World War II.  Shown here is a plane of 820 Squadron, returning to the HMS Ark Royal.  As soon as they land, they will be off to hunt the Bismark.
