Comet The Me-163 "Komet". A rocket powered plane used to intercept raiding American B-17's and '24's. As the Komet was about 250 MPH faster than the target, and only flew for about 3 minutes, they proved to be very exciting (to the pilot), but relative ineffective in combat. |
