Over Southern England, a Spitfire IX guns its engine to catch up with a speeding V-1 Doodle Bug or Buzz Bomb heading towards London. The technique was to tip the bomb over with the fighter's wing so that it loses control and crashes into the ground.

The V-1, Hitler's terror weapon, was not much good except for killing civilians.  They were relatively slow moving, and susceptible to fast Allied interceptors.
