Groupe Bretagne Created in 1942, from Free French airmen in Chad, the Groupe Bretagne campaigned in North Africa, Italy, and finally participated in the liberation of France. They began by flying Lysanders, Potez 29, Potez 540 and of Bloch 210. They did good service with the Glenn Martin 167, known as the "Maryland" in RAF service. In late 1943, they were equipped with the Martin B-26 Marauder, an excellent medium bomber. |
